Coffee shop games are a dream come true for anyone who ever, like me, dreamed of owning a cozy coffee shop. And while in real life those dreams are often expensive, filled with paperwork and mostly unattainable, in gaming world, you can do as you please.
But good coffee shop games are really hard to find. You’d be surprised how many times I went in search of one and ended up on the same two games (Coffee Talk is just that great!). Fortunately, I’m stubborn and not afraid to try things out, so I found a bunch more that you can enjoy.
Below are my favorites: obviously, the well known choices, but also some hidden gems, some free coffee shop games and more!

- Lemon Cake — Play this if you don’t actually need your game to be focused on coffee and just want a cute shop to run (this is a bakery).
- My Café: Recipes and Stories — Play this if you want a long-running mobile game to long into daily and play casually over time.
- Little Corner Tea House — Play this if you want to run a cozy coffee and tea shop and do a bunch of cozy activities while getting stories from the customers.

Coffee Talk

This is more of a visual novel than cafe management, but you do still have a lot to do. I found it incredibly cozy, and a perfect game to relax with while you get some amazing stories too! In this one, you play a bartender in alternate-world Seattle (where there are fantasy creatures) and your job is to serve them the right drink to get them to tell you their stories.
Coffee Talk Tokyo

Coffee Talk Tokyo is pretty much the same as Coffee Talk, only you get different stories and a different setting (as the name says, Tokyo this time). As the barista, you prepare hot and cold drinks, experiment with recipes and latte art, and listen to customers talk about their lives. This one and the Seattle one are not connected, so you can play whichever you like (or both! they’re perfect autumn games as well!)
Good Coffee, Great Coffee

This is one of my favorite cozy games for mobile, and it’s free to boot (what can be better?). This game lets you open a coffee shop in Coffee City and work toward becoming a Master Brewist. You’ll make coffee with a bunch of different ingredients and upgrade your equipment, and there’s even a little bit of story you can follow as you go along.
Espresso Tycoon

Espresso Tycoon is perfect for you if you want to do more business management than cozy storylines. You still get to make coffee, but you also have an empire to build so you’ll design your café, create recipes, manage employees, keep customers happy, advertise your business and so on. I love tycoon type games so I found this really cozy as well, it’s just that you have to work a bit harder on the management side (which was fun!).
Cat Café Manager

This game begins as many of them do: you inherit a rundown café and your job is to make it work. You’ll rescue and adopt stray cats, train your staff, expand and decorate, make food and drinks, and form good relationships with the townsfolk. This one comes with a bit of a mystery too, because there are secrets surrounding the cat shrine in the village, so you do get to explore and deduce a bit. I really love the art in this game!
Own Coffee Shop

This is yet another mobile game, but what can I do? There are many great coffee shop games over there, so give them a try (they’re free). Own Coffee Shop in particular is an idle game that lets you build a coffee business from a tiny shop into a huge empire. You’ll tap to attract customers, serve drinks, upgrade your café, and gradually expand the business while profits continue accumulating. But this game does expand on the formula a bit since you’ll get to meet regulars and hear their stories, which gives it some umph and more playability in my opinion.
Coffee Caravan

Okay, so Coffee Caravan is a bit more stressful than your average cozy game but there’s coffee and I found it really cute, so give it a try if you don’t mind time management! You’ll travel from stop to stop in your mobile coffee shop, brewing coffee and tea, serving customers, experimenting with recipes, and unlocking new equipment and ingredients. Each run takes place on a procedurally generated route with different events and challenges, so you’ll need to choose your upgrades and manage your café efficiently if you want to make it to the end of the journey.
Calico

Rather than focusing heavily on business management, the game is about decorating your café, collecting and befriending adorable animals, cooking food, exploring the village, and completing quests for the local community. You can fill your café with animals and furniture while getting to know the quirky characters around town.
Tailside: Cozy Cafe Sim

I absolutely loved this game and how adorable it was. You’ll brew coffee, decorate and customize your café, unlock new items and skills, and keep an eye on the town through its daily newspaper. As you progress, you’ll meet new villagers and creature customers and uncover little stories around the community. It’s very low pressure, so there are no stressful timers and it’s perfect for some relaxing but interesting gameplay.
Critter Café

Critter Café combines café management with creature collecting. You’ll rescue adorable fantasy critters, care for them, and give them a home in your café while designing the space to your liking. Outside of running the café, you can explore the surrounding area, investigate mysterious portals, and uncover more about the world and its creatures. I found it very wholesome and fun, so I highly recommend it!
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly

The second Coffee Talk game brings you back to the same late-night Seattle café, where familiar customers return alongside new faces. You’ll once again listen to the problems of humans and fantasy creatures while mixing drinks from ingredients such as coffee, tea, ginger, mint, and chocolate.
Wanderstop

In Wanderstop, you’ll make tea instead of coffee, but the concept is similar. You run a magical tea shop after a difficult defeat and your days involve growing and harvesting ingredients, preparing tea for unusual visitors, maintaining the shop, and talking with the people who pass through. I really enjoyed the themes of change, burnout and learning to live slowly!
Call of Boba

In Call of Boba, you help revive a struggling boba tea shop. During the day, you make drinks and work on attracting customers, while outside the café you can complete quests, fish, explore, and build relationships with the locals. When night falls, you battle enemies using boba-tea-based weapons, collecting inspiration that can help you create new drinks.
Maid Café on Electric Street

After leaving a toxic workplace, you become the manager of the struggling Fuwa Fuwa maid café. You’ll spend your days helping the café and getting to know its four maids while meeting the people who live and work around Electric Street. It’s more of a story-focused adventure than a traditional café simulator, with the café acting as the setting for character relationships and everyday slice-of-life stories.
My Little Café Nightmare

If you like your cozy games with a touch of horror, this game puts you in charge of a haunted café filled with supernatural customers. You’ll brew strange drinks for ghostly patrons, manage supplies, upgrade the shop, clean and organize the space, and transform the unsettling café into something less scary. I found the horror twist not too scary and actually very refreshing!
Coffee Shop Simulator

Coffee Shop Simulator takes a more hands-on approach to running a café. You’ll prepare different coffee recipes, serve pastries and other treats, manage staff, and keep customers happy while expanding and decorating your shop. Personally, not my favorite, but then I do prefer more cartoony aesthetics and simulators like this trigger my gaming motion sickness, so it still might be a great game for you!
The Roast: Coffee Shop Simulator

The Roast focuses on the day-to-day work of actually running a coffee shop, from stocking beans and creating your menu to taking orders and preparing drinks. You can decorate and expand your café, manage its inventory, clean up, and serve pastries alongside your coffee. There’s online co-op which is really fun if you want to share the experience!
Lemon Cake

Lemon Cake is technically a bakery game, but so many people recommend it when you look for coffee shop games that I had to include it. Plus, I do think that the atmosphere of it is on point. You inherit a run-down bakery haunted by a friendly ghost and must restore it to its former glory. You’ll learn recipes, bake pastries, grow ingredients, care for animals, decorate the bakery, and serve customers as you gradually expand your menu and business.

My Café: Recipes & Stories combines restaurant management with a long-running character-driven story. You’ll build and decorate your café, hire and train staff, create new recipes, set prices, and expand the business while meeting customers from all walks of life. Those customers bring their own stories, dramas, and romances, so there’s plenty to do beyond simply serving coffee. To be honest, the IAPs ended up annoying me, but it’s worth it if you want something to play very casually on your phone.
Little Corner Tea House

In Little Corner Tea House, you help Hana run a small neighborhood tea house where customers come to relax and share their stories. You’ll prepare tea, coffee, and other drinks, grow ingredients, decorate the space, and even create your own little dolls. I really enjoyed this one, and it’s really fun if you like the cozy hobby mash up of sewing, gardening, tea, etc.
