Epic Seven Tips and Tricks (Ultimate Epic Seven Guide)

Starting a new gacha game can get overwhelming, especially if the game has been out for some time and there is so much content. That’s the case with the Epic Seven, if you start now, you probably won’t know where to begin and what to do. As someone who went through the same struggle, I understand completely. That’s why I decided to create this small guide to make your experience more enjoyable. So without further ado, let’s get over some basic Epic Seven tips and things to focus on.

Focus on one PvE team early

It’s tempting to build every shiny new unit, but trust me, all of those units are pretty useless if you can’t gear them. So in order to do that, you’ll need to farm some. The best place to start is Wyvern. It’s a dungeon where you get equipment with a speed gear set and trust me, you’re going to need a LOT of those sets.

Wyvern boss is a fire element and naturally most effective units to use against it are water units. So, pick your Wyvern team and get it solid. And in case you still need further guidance about team composition, the best approach for start would be to have a tank, bruiser, healer, and damage dealer. I usually find that’s the best place to start and work from there. You can always tweak it whenever you feel like something needs changing.

Don’t ignore 3-star units.

A lot of top-tier supporters and PvE gods are hiding in the 3-star pool. They’re easy to build, and they’ll carry you through most of the early-to-mid game. You can easily replace them later on when you get better units. But for now it’s better to have a maxed 3 or 4 star unit than a 5 star unit without skill-ups, imprints or awakenings.

Speed is king

In PvP, if you go first, you win. Not always, but usually. Invest in speed gear, speed sets, and speed main stats. And when it comes to the PVE, it doesn’t hurt if your units have speed. You don’t want your boss to go first. Instead you want to take as many turns you can and you do that by having speed.

Gear units properly

To get the most out of units, it’s important to gear your units properly. Which means you can’t just put a speed set on your units and hope for the best. You’re going to need to pay attention to stats and sub-stats. To give you a general idea of how you should gear them, I’ll give you a few generic examples.

For DPS, you want to get as much of ATK %, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and Speed as possible.

For a Bruiser it depends on what his/hers skill scales with. But for example if it scales with health, you want to get as much Health%, Crit, Crit DMG, and speed.

When it comes to tanks, it also depends on skill scaling. For starters just make it as tanky as possible which means get as much Health%/Def% as you can. Try to get speed and effective resistance wherever you can.

And Lastly for healers, you want to make sure they survive long enough to manage to heal your other units. Which means you want to invest into Health%/Def%, effective resistance, and speed.

All of those examples are something generic that you should strive to get. In real world, it’s going to take a while until you get there, so don’t stress about it.

Save your resources

I know it’s tempting to summon every day and try your luck for a shiny new unit that can just sit in your inventory. But trust me, save your Covenant Bookmarks and Skystones for limited banners or meta-shifting units. Daily summons are a trap unless you’re super lucky (in which case… congratulations, I guess?). In the long run if you summon wisely, your account will be stronger.

Join a Guild

Join an active guild early. You’ll get additional resources , plus access to Guild Wars and buffs. And on top of that you’ll be part of a community that can help you with free advice or at least you’ll have a bunch of people to share the misery of RNG with.

Do your dailies

The game’s generosity is tied to you showing up. Dailies and weeklies give Skystones, energy, charms, and tickets. If you keep with your task and do them regularly, you’ll have plenty of resources to advance deeper into the game which ultimately leads to faster progression and easier dungeons.

Don’t rush Arena

Like I’ve said before, if you’re new, focus on building your teams and understanding mechanics. Climbing Arena early with bad gear is painful. Let your units and gear catch up, then start climbing. You can still do a regular arena daily to collect points to redeem some of the juicy gear in the shop but besides that, no need to stress about it.

Conclusion

I hope this guide made your Epic Seven journey easier. In case you get stuck somewhere and you don’t know what to do, feel free to leave a comment and I can see if I can provide some help.
