Vampire Survivors is a time survival game with minimalistic gameplay and roguelike elements. The game was developed and published by Luca Galante, also known as poncle. As someone who got the game in early access, I can confidently say I’m a Vampire Survivors veteran. And while I didn’t play it regularly, every time I did it was an enjoyable experience.

Gameplay
Vampire Survivors is a very complex and difficult game, the level of difficulty is beyond the grasp of any regular human. Not for me though, it’s more of child’s play for me. Perks of being a certified genius. But don’t let it frighten you, I’m here to help and make things easier. If you follow my instructions to the dot, you’ll have no issues beating the game.
On a more serious note, the goal is to survive as long as possible against constant waves of monsters that inflict damage when they come in contact with the character. Defeating monsters and exploring the stage allows the player to collect experience gemstones, which are used to level up.
The player selects one of the multiple characters with different starting weapons and bonuses. Weapons you pick up and level up work automatically, so your main worry should be to dodge monsters and pick up gems.
Your character can have 6 weapons and 6 power-ups in total in each session you play. Of course, you don’t get them immediately, you get them gradually while you level up.
It’s worth noting that each session is time-limited. Usually, one session lasts somewhere around 30 minutes before “The Reaper” appears and kills you. In those 30 minutes, you’ll also be collecting gold coins which you can either use to unlock other characters or you can spend on power-ups. I would advise doing the latter first, which makes things easier later on.
There isn’t much else to talk about, the rest of it you kinda need to see and experience for yourself. All I can say is that Vampire Survivors has definitely been worth my money. If memory serves me right, I paid for the game somewhere around 2$, and in a couple of days, I racked up over 20 hours of gameplay. Where else in the world can you get that amount of fun for that amount of money? Nowhere. Even now, with the game costing 5$, it is still worth it in my books.
