Sucker Punch just made an announcement at Gamescom: Ghost of Yōtei is getting a free multiplayer DLC in 2026.
The DLC will introduce two distinct modes: two-player story missions and four-player survival. You’ll be able to choose from four unique character classes, and while we haven’t seen full loadouts or skill trees yet, early concept art teases some pretty great ideas.
And like Tsushima Legends, it looks like a fully fleshed-out experience. The survival mode will pit players against grotesque versions of the “Yōtei Six” along with waves of new enemies. And yes, it’s free. If you own the base game, you get the DLC.
Here’s a quick look at the concept art for the enemies:
This news hits especially well for anyone who played Ghost of Tsushima: Legends and enjoyed it. That mode was a brilliant spin on the game’s combat and worldbuilding. Bringing that DNA into Ghost of Yōtei is a no-brainer, and honestly, it’s a great move for long-term engagement. Launch the single-player campaign this fall, and by the time 2026 rolls around, boom: the player base is back for more.
For now, we wait — Ghost of Yōtei launches October 2, 2025, and Legends drops sometime the year after. No firm date, but if the original rollout is anything to go by, it’ll be worth it.
Until then: sharpen your blade, grab a friend (or three), and get ready to descend into something darker. Yōtei Legends is coming.
