Ashes of Creation: MMORPG of The Decade?

Quick Context on Ashes of CreationAshes of Creation was one of the most ambitious MMO projects in recent years, starting with a successful Kickstarter in 2017. After years in alpha testing, it launched on Steam Early Access in December 2025. Since then, the studio has faced major upheaval: the founder resigned, there were mass layoffs, and reports suggest the developer may have effectively shut down. The game is no longer being sold on Steam, and its long-term future is very uncertain. Ashes of Creation has been in the making for what feels like forever, and it’s finally here—well, kind of.
