As someone who has been obsessed with Crimson Desert these past few weeks, so much so that I’ve ignored making content here and I’ve amassed over 500GB of footage that probably won’t see the light of day, I hesitate to say that this game has flaws.
BUT I believe it has a chance to be an even better game, and enter into my top 10 games of all time, if not in top 3. I mean, this provided that they listen to what I have to say and aren’t afraid to make the changes that need to be done. Here’s what I’d love to see happen:
The Story
Let’s start with the elephant in the room. The story in the Crimson Desert has been a hot topic since the release. It kinda held it back from receiving more popular reviews and I believe it’s the reason why many players refunded the game or didn’t even buy it in the first place.
Now, you’re probably thinking “Changing the story after the game has been released? That’s never really been done, especially for a game this big.” You’re probably right but I feel like if someone can pull it off, it’s Pearl Abyss. They’re in a perfect position to do it. There isn’t a player alive that is fond of the story and if you change to the extent that it would require a new playthrough, no one would be mad.
And with all the money they have earned so far, they can even hire new talented writers who can make it more than decent. This might be the most unrealistic thing on the list but who knows, miracles do happen every day.
The Mounts

The only “real” mount in the game is a horse. You can summon it whenever and you can catch all sorts of horses around the map and use them or send them to your personal stables.
Crimson Desert also features various creatures/animals scattered across various regions that you can ride but can’t really keep. It’s sort of a “one time deal” where you can ride for a certain period but that’s it. I’m sure that many of you would agree with me, that this needs to be changed.
We don’t need to create a “special Zoo” for all the animals but create a system where we can create a bond with animals in such a way that we can become lifelong partners. If I can make a dog follow me everywhere and pick stuff from me, why can’t I befriend a bear and have him be my lifelong companion? But I can beat him to a pulp and ride him?
You have everything already there, these changes would take them less than a week to implement. I’m 100% sure everyone would love it.
Add CLUELESS Option

In the open-world of Crimson Desert, you can find all sorts of puzzles and frankly many of them don’t make any sense to me. And I couldn’t be bothered to spend 30 minutes of my life figuring it out. I have better things to do. For that reason I want them to add the “I’m a dummy” option in the menu. Once turned on, it would provide clues and information that would lead to solving a puzzle in 5 minutes or less. I’ll be the first one to use it.
Boss Fights

There are a lot of cool looking bosses but most of them are just that. If you’re stacked on food, you can literally close your eyes and still manage to beat them. Before this blows up in my face, no, I don’t need bosses to be harder.
What I need is to limit the amount of food that can be used during boss fights and the number of revives. Once we do that, we can move on to fixing a few bosses’ mechanics where they stunlock me for an eternity and I have no choice but to use said food.
So reduce food, revives, stunlock time, and maybe, just maybe decrease recovery time from attacks. I don’t need my character to act like he just woken up from a nap but more like he was hit by a dangerous foe. Time is of the essence. My life is in danger, I feel like I should be dodging quicker.
Make Money Relevant?
Lastly, I feel like money in Crimson Desert has become pointless to me. I’ve been buying things left and right, using it unwisely, and I’ve even been donating as resources to my camp and I still have a lot of left. Putting gold bricks was a blunder. But now it’s too late to fix that, so the only logical thing would be to have a place where we can use it. I have no clue what it is but I’m sure that one of you has a great idea.
Conclusion
In case you agree with me, share it on socials. The more we share, the bigger the chance that this might happen. Don’t be afraid to let them know how much you like the game and that these changes are what could help turn this game from another open-world to a generational masterpiece. If nothing, their sales would increase exponentially. That’s the language they best understand.
