  • Amnesia: The Bunker: A relentless first-person survival horror set in a WWI bunker. You play as Henri Clément, fighting to stay alive as a monstrous threat stalks you in darkness. Each playthrough shifts thanks to semi-open design and randomised elements—brutally tense.
  • Samorost 3: A peaceful and beautifully realised puzzle/adventure from Amanita Design. You guide a curious space-gnome via a magic flute across nine strange worlds, solving playful challenges and enjoying rich art and sound.
  • Fear the Spotlight: An atmospheric third-person horror-adventure where you sneak through a school after-hours to unravel a dark mystery. No heavy combat here—stealth, puzzles and mood take centre stage, with an 90’s teen horror vibe.

How Free Epic Games Work

Time needed: 10 minutes

Getting free games from the Epic Games Store is easier than you think. Follow these steps to claim every free title, and make sure your library keeps growing week after week.

  1. Step 1: Create an Epic Games Account

    1. Go to the Epic Games website and sign up for a free account.
    2. You’ll need a valid email address and a password.
    3. Once registered, you can log in on both the website and the Epic Games Launcher.

Use an email you check regularly—Epic sends notifications about new free games and promotions.

  2. Step 2: Download the Epic Games Launcher

The launcher is where you manage, download, and play your games. Download it from Epic’s official site and log in with the account you just created. You can claim games directly through the website without the launcher, but you’ll need it to play the games.

  3. Step 3: Find the Weekly Free Games

Every Thursday, Epic releases new free games. Check the Epic Games Store front page or our weekly updated list here. Games are usually available for one week only, so don’t wait too long to claim them.

  4. Step 4: Claim the Games

    1. Click on the free game and select “Get”.
    2. Complete the checkout process (it’s free!) to add the game to your library.
    3. Once claimed, the game is yours forever, even if you don’t download it right away.

Add games to your library immediately to avoid missing them when the promotion ends.

  5. Step 5: Download and Play

Open the Epic Games Launcher, navigate to Library, and download your claimed games. Play anytime, even after the promotion ends.

  6. Step 6: Stay Ahead of Free Game Expirations

Each free title has an expiration date. After that, it goes back to its normal price. Bookmark this page or enable notifications in the launcher to never miss a free game.

Use the Epic wishlist feature to keep track of upcoming games you want to claim.

  7. Step 7: Explore More Free Games

Check out our Free PC Games page for guides, reviews, and other free game recommendations. Some free games have expansions or DLC available at no cost, so keep an eye on these weekly promotions!
