FPS games come in all sorts of shapes and sizes — there are tactical shooters, fast-paced arena firefights and they can even be story driven. So, you could say that it’s a bit difficult to choose the right one to play when there are so many out there. And if you’re wondering what’s still worth playing (or what to reinstall), you’re in the right place. I’ve rounded up the best FPS games to play, whether you want something competitive, casual, or something more unique and you can find my top choices below. minecraft vs roblox

Minecraft vs. Roblox for Kids: Which Is Best? (A Parent’s Perspective)

Minecraft and Roblox have been a big topic of conversation in my household lately, mainly because my daughter (now almost eight) is extremely curious about both. And I am equally worried about it.  You hear all these stories about bad things happening with kids in both games, it’s just difficult to take a step towards either. And I’m a gamer, someone who knows how these things work — which should make it easier, but in reality only makes the choice harder.  And since I’ve been doing tons of research on Minecraft and Roblox in the past few weeks, I found

How to Make a Video Game: A Beginner’s Guide

Making a video game sounds like a fun thing to do, right? And while that might be true technically, it can also be very overwhelming if you don’t know how to approach it properly. You need to be completely aware of every step before you start working on making a game. Game development might seem like magic, but it’s really just a mix of creativity, caffeine, and a whole lot of trial and error. So, if you want to know where to begin, I’m here to simplify things for you. I’ll go over the tools you need, the steps to

vpns for gaming

VPNs for Gaming: What They Do, When to Use, and When to Skip

VPNs are popular in the gaming world because they’re meant to solve all sorts of issues — or at least that’s what your favorite VPN-sponsored YouTuber says. They can solve geo-restrictions, give you speed, give you all the protection you need, solve world hunger! Just sign up using their code.  But, let me tell you — that’s not always true, or at least not fully. And here’s a fun fact about me: for years, I worked for a very popular VPN company (whichever one came to your mind — yes, it’s that one). So I know from first-hand, insider experience

subnautica 2 news

Subnautica 2 News – Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Subnautica 2 is very close to being released, and it’s bringing some major changes to the series. This time around, the focus is on both solo and co-op survival, giving players the option to explore and build with friends for the first time.  It’s also a standalone story, meaning you won’t need to have played the first two games to follow what’s going on. With that said, there has been ongoing controversy due to game release being pushed for next year. Which in the long run might affect the sales. Anyways, you’re here for Subnautica 2 and for all the

arknights game review

Arknights Game Review: A Beautiful Gacha Game

Arknights is one of those gacha games I ended up sticking with for longer than I expected. I’ve been playing it on and off for a while now, and honestly, it’s grown on me. It’s not the flashiest or the most aggressive with its marketing, but it’s got that kind of consistency that keeps pulling you back. Before you press the download button, here are my full thoughts about the game: Story Arknights does have a story, and honestly, it’s better than I expected going in. You play as the “Doctor,” a character with amnesia who ends up leading a

Subnautica Review 2026 – Is This Survival Classic Still Worth Playing?

I didn’t expect much when I first launched Subnautica. Just another survival game, right? Turns out, I was wrong.  What I got instead was one of the most unique and oddly immersive survival experiences I’ve ever played. There’s no combat-heavy intro, no flashy tutorial, it’s just you, a busted lifepod, and a massive alien ocean waiting to be explored. It’s slow, atmospheric, and surprisingly tense, especially when you realize you’re not exactly alone down there.  After multiple replays since release, I feel qualified enough to talk about it (and I rave about it in many articles, like here — did

13 Best Tower Defense Games to Play in 2026

Tower defense games have a bit of everything that I like — some strategy, some base building (sometimes) and lots of challenges. I first fell in love with this genre while, ironically, playing other games that had tower defense elements. For example, SpellForce (which I talk a lot about here).  And since then, I’ve sought this out repeatedly through other games. And in case you’re interested as well, I’ve rounded up the best of the best tower defense games so you can enjoy them too (in no particular order). Save your time searching, and dive straight into one of these!

Palmon: Survival Game Review: Is It Just Another Pokemon Copy?

During the summer days, time feels like it’s flying by so fast. There’s so many things to do, so many people to see, and so many games to play but by the time I blink, the day is over. So in order to combat these types of days, I’ve developed a system.  I tend to download a game that I can enter at any given time and do what needs to be done and continue with my day. It takes a few minutes ever so often but it’s a much needed dose of relaxation. That’s where the Palmon: Survival comes

star wars jedi survivor review

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Review: Is It a Good Intro to Soulslikes?

When it comes to the Star Wars franchise, I wouldn’t call myself a superfan but also I’m not a hater of it. I liked Fallen Order well enough, even if it had a few rough edges. Jedi: Survivor picks up right where that left off, building on the combat, expanding the world, and refining the formula.  And there’s a word around the block that if you want to get into soulslike games, that Jedi series is the place to start. And since I’ve played the first part eons ago, I thought it would be a good idea to play the
